Fire Pumps

MESC offers full range of fire pumps manufactured and tested according to NFPA20 standards, UL listed and FM approved from 150 to 8000 GPM, all types such as horizontal split case, vertical-in-line, end-suction and vertical turbine, diesel or electric motor driven.

Sentinel™ Horizontal Split Case Fire Pumps

Sentinel™ HSC Pumps are engineered for reliable operation upon demand. All fabricated parts are standardized and accurately machined for true alignment, increasing overall durability. Precision balancing of all rotating components provides mechanical dependability, reliable operation and minimal maintenance. Impellers are constructed with double inlets that practically eliminate end thrust while boosting operating efficiency. These high-efficiency units operate with pressures in excess of 390 psi (27 bar), produce heads to 750 ft (229 m) and flows from 150 to 5,000 gpm (568 to 18,925 litres/min). They are available with electric, diesel, or dual drive power and vertical or horizontal orientation. Their simple, split case design allows for in-line service without disturbing piping.

Sentinel™ End Suction Fire Pumps

Featuring pressure ratings from 40 to 150 psi (3 to 10 bar) and flow rates from 50 to 750 gpm (189 to 2,835 litres/min), Sentinel™ End Suction Fire Pumps are available in two configurations—frame-mounted or close-coupled, which can be flanged or threaded. These pumps ably bring Patterson’s rugged performance and reliability to existing applications or new installations.
Their ease of installation minimizes foundation and mounting complexity—you simply add standard piping supports. And thanks to our back pullout configuration, it’s easy to remove the rotating element without disturbing suction and discharge connections.

Sentinel™ Vertical In-Line Fire Pumps

The compact, self-contained design of Sentinel™ Vertical In-Line Fire Pumps makes them easily adaptable to new or existing applications
With the inlet and outlet on a common center line, these pumps are easy to install with simple mounting requirements—only standard piping supports on either side of the pump. This eliminates the need for costly foundations or pads. Pressure ratings from 40 to 150 psi (3 to 10 bar) deliver flow ranges of 50 to 1,250 gpm (189 to 4,731 litres/min). Every pump has standard packing and a two-piece gland for durability.

Sentinel™ Vertical Turbine Fire Pumps

Among the most versatile pumps in Patterson’s arsenal, the Sentinel™ Vertical Turbine Fire Pump stands on our vertical pump expertise. Because it embodies the latest design concepts and engineering technology, this pump is ideal for fighting fire.
Flexible staging enables these units to meet capacity requirements in a minimum of floor space. Standard construction offers cast iron discharge heads with a fabricated steel column, stainless steel head and bowl shafts, or alloy steel line shaft and cast iron bronze fitted bowls. Special metallurgies are also available.
No priming is necessary to provide flows from 500 to 5,000 gpm (1,892 to 18,925 litres/min), with pressures in excess of 350 psi (24 bar).
